Crossing into Gibraltar was trouble free. We were advised to leave the car in La Linea, Spain, and walk across because of the queues. On seeing the queue, we wished that we'd taken heed. But the queue moved very fast and after quick passport checks we were in Jabal Tariq.
Gibraltar's Rock is of course its main attraction and that's where we headed immediately. The cable car return trips cost about £30 altogether and it was certainly to be worth it. Oh yes, we were back paying in Sterling.
The ride up took about 10 minutes with the view getting more and more spectacular with each passing second...
