We had a slight car scare on leaving Malaga. Abdullah did something to the child safety lock of one of the doors that prevented it from shutting. A momentary panic came over us as we tried to fix it. Abdullah was in tears as he thought the worst. But Alhamdulillah, the door was soon fine and we were on our way to Gibraltar.
It was a very sunny drive along the coast, along the Costa del Sol, along endless resorts. The coast certainly lived up to its name. It was interesting driving past all these pretty but uniform and characterless tourist towns. Malaga was definitely the right place to stay.
We had to pay one toll as we missed the first sign for a toll road. There was no traffic on the toll-free road either though we stuck to them thereafter.
Not long before reaching Gibraltar, we stopped for some oranges...
