Writing about Cordoba and Madina Az-Zahra brought mixed emotions. But this place brings unbridled joy! There is always a funny sansation in the pit of my stomach when I feel this joyous. This was my favourite few hours of the whole tour.
The seasonal visitor centre was closed but the view from it of Andalucia's largest natural lake had already made the trip here more than worth it.
The sun was blinding (and hence Abdullah's expression!) and yet mellow because it was still only April. Along with a gentle breeze, the weather was perfect. As was the moment...
